The Yamaha XT 600 motorcycle was first introduced in 1984 with a four-stroke, single cylinder, SOHC, 4 valve engine with a capacity of 595 cc / 36.3 cu-in. The bike had a cooling system that combined both oil and air for optimal performance. The compression ratio was 8.5:1 and the engine used a 27mm Dual stage Teikei Y 27 PV carburetor for induction.
