The Yamaha XT 500 motorcycle was produced in 1977 with a capacity of 499 cc and a four-stroke, single-cylinder, SOHC, two-valve engine. It had a compression ratio of 9.0:1 and was equipped with a 32mm Mikuni VM32SS carburetor and magneto, CB/coil ignition.
