The Yamaha TZR 250 is a 1987 two stroke motorcycle with a 249cc engine and parallel twin cylinders. It has a liquid cooling system, 2x Mikuni TM28SS carburetors, and a CDI ignition system. The max power is 50 hp at 10,000 rpm and max torque is 35.5 Nm at 9750 rpm. The transmission is 6-speed with a chain final drive. The front suspension is telescopic with adjustable preload and the rear suspension is coil and gas spring with 9-way preload position. The front brakes are single 320mm discs with 2 piston calipers and the rear brakes are a single 210mm disc with 1 piston caliper. The road test was conducted by Motociclismo in 1987 and was part of a group test by Bike magazine in the same year.
