Yamaha MT-01 (2003)

The Yamaha MT-01 Prototype was released in 2003, with a four-stroke 48-degree V-twin cylinder engine and a capacity of 1670cc. It has a compression ratio of 8.36:1 and a dry sump lubrication system, fueled by twin-bore fuel injection. It is equipped with NGK DPR7EA-9 spark plugs and Digital TCI ignition. The motorcycle is capable of reaching a max power output of 66.3 kW / 90 hp at 4750 rpm and a max torque of 150.1 Nm / 110.7 lb-ft at 3750rpm. The transmission is 5-speed and utilizes a wet, multiple-disc clutch with a final chain drive. The motorcycle’s newly designed aluminium CF die-cast sports frame and R1-type die-cast aluminium subframe offer a degree of stability and durability. The suspension features an inverted telescopic fork and a swingarm with a fully-adjustable single shock absorber. The motorcycle’s brakes consist of two 320mm discs with four-piston calipers on the front and a single 267mm disc with one-piston caliper on the rear. With a ground clearance of 140 mm and a dry weight of 240 kg, the bike has a seat height of 825 mm, a wheelbase of 1525 mm, a height of 825 mm, a length of 2185 mm, and a width of 790 mm. The fuel tank capacity is 15 litres or 3.2 gallons.
