Moto Guzzi V7 Sport (1971-72)

The Moto Guzzi V7 Sport motorcycle was produced from 1971-72 and contained a four-stroke, 90-degree V-twin, longitudinally mounted engine with OHV and 2 valves per cylinder. The bike had a capacity of 748.4cc, a compression ratio of 9.8:1, and used 2x 30mm Dell’Orto VHB 30CD carburetors for induction. The ignition system used a battery with a double contact breaker with automatic advance and was started electrically. With a max power of 70hp / 32kW @ 6300 RPM and a 5-speed transmission, the V7 Sport could travel long distances comfortably at high speeds. The motorcycle had a front suspension consisting of telehydraulic forks, while the rear suspension was a swinging arm with hydraulic dampers with preload adjustments. The front brakes included two 220mm drums with double-sided twin leading shoes per side, while the rear brake contained a 220mm drum.
