The Ducati GT 1000 was a motorcycle model released in 2007. It had a 992cc, 90-degree L twin-cylinder four-stroke engine with DOHC and desmodromic four valves per cylinder, generating a maximum power output of 67.7 kW or 92 hp at 8,000 RPM and a maximum torque of 91.1 Nm or 67.3 lb-ft at 6,000 RPM. It featured a six-speed transmission with wet multi-plate clutch and a chain final drive. The steel trellis frame was equipped with 43mm Marzocchi upside-down forks at the front and twin shock absorbers with spring preload at the rear. Braking was provided by 2x 320mm semi-floating discs with four-piston calipers at the front and a single 245mm disc with two-piston caliper at the rear. The bike had a top speed of 207.8 km/h and could cover a standing quarter-mile in 12.3 seconds. The fuel capacity was 15 liters, and the average consumption was 4.6 L/100 km or 21.7 km/L. The instrument panel included a speedometer, rev counter, warning light for low oil pressure, indicators for high beam, fuel reserve, turn signals, LCD clock, trip fuel, and immobilizer. The bike had favorable reviews from Motorcyclist and Motorcycle-USA.
