Bimota SB6R (1997)

The Bimota SB6R motorcycle was produced in 1997 with only 600 units made. It features a four stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC 4 valve per cylinder engine with a 1074cc capacity and a compression ratio of 11.2:1. Induction is through 4x 40mm carbs, with digital electronic ignition and electric starting. The maximum power output is 156hp at 10000rpm and a maximum torque of 120 Nm at 9000rpm. The transmission features five speeds and final drive is through a chain. The front suspension includes Telehydraulic fork with 46mm stanchions and rebound, compression and preload adjustments, while the rear suspension features shock absorber with compression, rebound, preload and length adjustments. Front brakes include two 320mm discs and 4 piston calipers, while the rear brake is a single 230mm disc and 2 piston caliper. The front and rear tyres are 120/60 ZR17 and 190/55 ZR17, respectively. The dry weight of the SB6R is 190kg, and it has a 22 litre fuel capacity. The top speed of the Bimota SB6R is 280 km/h or 174 mph, and the seat height is 755 mm or 29.7 inches.
