The Bimota HB3-S motorcycle was produced from 1983 to 1985, with only 101 units being made. It has a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder, DOHC engine with 4 valves per cylinder, a capacity of 1062cc, and 9.7:1 compression ratio. It has an air/oil-cooled system with 4x 33mm Keihin carbs and electronic ignition. With a maximum power of 85.8 kW/115 hp at 8500 rpm and a maximum torque of 100 Nm/73.4 lb-ft at 7500 rpm, it has a top speed of 235 km/h/146 mph.
The HB3-S has a frame formed from four parts and rear shock absorber crossbar. The lower cradle has two connecting plates made of machined avionic steel. The front suspension is Italia 40 mm with 8 settings with magnesium tubes, whereas the rear suspension is a slightly backward facing De Carbon shock absorber with 10 settings. The swing arm is made of chrome-molybdenum steel. It also has a front brake with 2x 280mm discs and a rear brake with a single 280mm disc. It rolls on a front tire of 3.5 x 16 and a rear tire of 4.24 x 16. Its dry weight is 239 kg / 526.9 lbs.
