Bimota DB5RE (2012-13)

The Bimota DB5RE motorcycle was produced in 2012-13 with a four-stroke, 90 degrees L twin-cylinder, SOHC, desmodromic 2 valves per cylinder engine with a capacity of 1078cc. It has a compression ratio of 10.5:1 and is air/oil cooled with an exhaust system of 2 in 1 in 2. The electronic Bimota fuel injection and electric starting system produce a maximum power of 73.1 kW/98hp @ 8500 rpm and max torque of 103 Nm/10.5 kgf-m/76 lb-ft @ 5500rpm. The motorcycle features a six-speed transmission and a chain final drive. It has a tubular chrome-molibdenum steel frame, upside-down fully adjustable forks in the front suspension, and a monoshock rear suspension. The front brakes consist of two 298mm/11.7 in. discs and four-piston calipers, with the rear brakes consisting of a single 220mm/8.7 in. disc and two-piston caliper, both made by Brembo. The front and rear wheels are sized 120/70-17 and 180/55-17 respectively, and the seat height is 810 mm/31.9 in., with a wheelbase of 1425 mm/56.1 in. The motorcycle weighs 169 kg/372.6 lbs. and has a fuel capacity of 16 litres/4.2 US gal.
