Bimota DB5R (2011)

The Bimota DB5R is a motorcycle released in 2011 with an air-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree L twin-cylinder engine that has SOHC Desmodromic 2 valves per cylinder. It has a capacity of 1078 and measures 98 x 71.5 mm for bore x stroke. The compression ratio is 10.5:1 with air/oil cooling and electronic fuel injection via a 45mm throttle body. The ignition system is Marelli electronic and it’s electrically started. Its maximum power is 70.8 kW / 85.5 hp @ 7050 rpm, and maximum torque is 103Nm / 10.5 kgf-m / 76 lb-ft. @ 5750 rpm. The lubrication is a wet sump and the exhaust system is a 2 in 1 in 2. Its transmission is a six-speed with a final drive by chain. The front suspension has a 43mm USD Ohlins fork that is TIN coated, while the rear suspension features an external hydraulic device, compression, rebound, and is fully adjustable. The front brakes have two 320mm discs and four-piston calipers, and the rear brake has one 230mm disc and a two-piston caliper. The front tire measures 120/90ZR -17, whereas the rear tire is 180/55ZR -17. It has a wheelbase of 1425 mm / 56.1 in. and a seat height of 810 mm / 31.9 in. The motorcycle has an overall length of 2180 mm / 85.8 in. and a wet weight of 168 kg / 370.4 lbs. The fuel capacity is 17 liters / 4.5 gal. The frame is a 25/20mm tubular chrome-molybdenum steel trellis with lateral plates in aircraft alloy, with a 35/25/15mm tubular chrome-molybdenum steel trellis with lateral plates in aircraft alloy at the rear.
