The Bimota DB1SR was a motorcycle produced in 1987, with only 153 produced. It featured a four-stroke, 90-degree L twin-cylinder, SOHC, desmodromic 2 valves per cylinder engine, with a capacity of 748 cc and a compression ratio of 10.4:1. The bike had a load-bearing space frame structure made of chrome-molybdenum steel and used 41.7mm telescopic M.1.R Marzocchi front suspension and rising rate linkage with Marzocchi shocks with adjustable preload 11 position compression damping. The front brakes were 2x 280mm discs with 1 piston calipers and the rear brake was a single 260mm disc. The motorcycle had a 5-speed transmission and a chain final drive. The bike had a dry weight of 160 kg and a fuel capacity of 22 litres. The standing 1/4 mile time was recorded at 12.6 seconds, with a top speed of 167 km/h or 104 mph.
