The Bimota 500 V Due was a limited production motorcycle with only 150 units made between 1997 and 1999. It had a two stroke 499 cc V-twin engine with a compression ratio of 12:1 and twin injectors. It had a maximum power of 76.6 kW/105 hp at 9000 rpm and a maximum torque of 90 Nm/9.2 kgf-m/66.4 lb-ft at 8000 rpm. The bike had a six-speed transmission and a chain final drive. The frame was made of light aluminum alloy and had tubes of oval section. The front suspension was 46mm Paioli telescopic forks fully adjustable and the rear suspension was a monoshock, fully adjustable for preload and damping. The front brakes had two 320mm discs and the rear brake had a single 230mm disc. The bike had a wheelbase of 1340 mm/52.8 in and a seat height of 820 mm/32.3 in. The dry weight was 176 kg/388 lbs and the fuel capacity was 20 liters/5.28 gal. The bike had a top speed of 265.5 km/h/165 mph and a standing 1/4 mile time of 12.5 sec/185.9 km/h/115.5 mp/h.
