AC Schnitzer R 1200RT and R1200ST (2005)

The AC Schnitzer R1200RT and R1200ST motorcycles were introduced in 2005. They both have a four-stroke, two-cylinder horizontally opposed Boxer air/oil-cooled engine with a capacity of 1170cc and a compression ratio of 12.0:1. The bikes have electronic intake manifold injection BMS-K induction and electric starting. The clutch is a single disc dry clutch that is hydraulically actuated. The maximum power output of the motorcycles is 81 kW/110 hp at 7750 rpm, and the maximum torque is 115 Nm/11.73 kgf-m/84.8 lb-ft at 6000 rpm. The transmission is a six-speed, and the final drive is a shaft.

The frame is a three-section frame made up of the front and rear section, with a load-bearing engine-gearbox unit. The front suspension uses BMW Motorrad Telelever with stanchion diameter of 35mm, a central spring strut, and rebound damping that is electronically adjustable with the standard ESA. The rear suspension is a die-cast aluminum single-sided swinging arm with BMW Motorrad EVO-Paralever, and the spring preload is hydraulically adjustable to continuously variable levels by means of electronically adjustable ESA. The rear suspension also has rebound damping with standard ESA. The front wheel is 3.5 x 17, and the rear wheel is 5.5 x 17. The front brakes consist of two 320 mm discs with four-piston calipers, and the rear brake is a single 265 mm disc with a two-piston caliper.

The fuel capacity of these motorcycles is 27 liters or 7.1 US gallons.
