The Yamaha XT 250 Serow was a four-stroke, single-cylinder motorcycle produced from 2000 to 2003. It had a 249cc two-valve engine with a compression ratio of 9.5:1, and used a 34mm Mikuni carburetor with CDI ignition. Its maximum power output was 21 horsepower at 6500 rpm, and maximum torque was 2.1 kgf-m at 6500 rpm. The bike utilized a wet, multiple-disc clutch and a 6-speed transmission, which drove a chain final drive. Suspension was provided by 35mm telescopic forks in the front with 216mm of travel, and a swingarm rebound-adjustable single shock in the rear with 180mm of travel. Braking was handled by a single 220mm disc in the front and a single 110mm drum in the rear, and the bike had a rake of 26 degrees and a wheelbase of 1359 mm. The seat height was 810 mm and the dry weight was 108 kg, with a fuel capacity of 9.8 liters.
