The Suzuki TS400L Apache/Hustler was a two-stroke, single cylinder motorcycle produced from 1974-75. It had an aluminium engine with a capacity of 396cc and a compression ratio of 6.8:1. The cooling system was air cooled with a CCI lubrication system and a Mikuni 58SS induction. It had a Suzuki PEI ignition and was kick-started. It generated a maximum power of 25.4 kW / 34 hp at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 40.2 Nm / 4.1 kgf-m / 29.7 lb-ft at 5500 rpm. The motorcycle had a five-speed transmission and a final chain drive. The front suspension consisted of telescopic forks while the rear suspension was a swingarm with dual shocks and was 5-way adjustable. It had drum brakes on the front and rear, and the tires were 3.00-21 4PR for the front and 4.00-18 4PR for the rear. The bike weighed 124 kg / 273 lbs and had a length of 2240mm, width of 889mm and height of 1130mm. The wheelbase was 1425mm while the ground clearance was 191mm. The fuel capacity was 8.3 L / 2.2 US gal / 1.8 Imp gal and the oil capacity was 1.2 L / 2.5 US pt / 2.1 Imp pt.
