The Norton Dominator 88 was a motorcycle produced from 1956 to 1962. It had a four stroke, parallel twin cylinder, OHV engine with a capacity of 497 cc and a compression ratio of 6.8:1. The bike was air cooled with a two into two, chrome exhaust and Amal 376 carburetor for induction. It had a coil ignition and was started by a kick. The maximum power output was 29.5 hp / 21.9 kW @ 6500rpm. It had a 4-speed transmission and chain final drive. The frame was a single down-tube with telescopic fork front suspension and swingarm rear suspension with twin plungers. The wheels were made of polished steel with laced spokes. The bike weighed 179 kg or 395 lbs and had a top speed of 163 km/h or 101 mph.
