Norton Dominator 88 (1956-62)

The Norton Dominator 88 was a motorcycle produced from 1956 to 1962. It had a four stroke, parallel twin cylinder, OHV engine with a capacity of 497 cc and a compression ratio of 6.8:1. The bike was air cooled with a two into two, chrome exhaust and Amal 376 carburetor for induction. It had a coil ignition and was started by a kick. The maximum power output was 29.5 hp / 21.9 kW @ 6500rpm. It had a 4-speed transmission and chain final drive. The frame was a single down-tube with telescopic fork front suspension and swingarm rear suspension with twin plungers. The wheels were made of polished steel with laced spokes.
