Norton Roton Crighton (1994)

The Norton Roton Crighton (1994) motorcycle has a twin cylinder, rotary engine with a capacity of 588 cc and liquid cooling. It has a compression ratio of 10:1 and twin ~A36 mm Amal smoothbore carburetors. The ignition is Crighton “Hall Effect” capacitive discharge type and it can reach a maximum power of 112 kW/150 hp at 10000 rpm. The rear tyre power is 105.6 Nm / 10.8 kgf-m / 78 lbs-ft at 8500 rpm. It has a 20 plate hydraulically operated aluminium wet clutch and a 6-speed, close ratio transmission. The frame is a twin spar, triple section, aircraft specification extruded aluminium, and it is equipped with Whitepower upside-down, fully adjustable front forks and twin Whitepower rear dampers. The front brakes are twin cross-drilled ~A320 mm front discs with AP one piece 4 piston caliper while the rear brake is a single ~A190 mm cross-drilled rear disc with a twin-piston Brembo caliper. It has Dunlop radials for both front and rear tyres and magnesium alloy wheels. The dry weight of the motorcycle is 134 kg / 295 lbs.
