KTM 640 LC4 Supermoto (2003-04)

The KTM 640 LC4 Supermoto was available from 2003 to 2004 and had a four-stroke, single-cylinder engine with 624.6cc capacity and a compression ratio of 11.0:1. The ignition system was contactless DC-CDI with a digital advanced system and the battery was a 12V 8Ah maintenance-free one. The motorcycle had a kick and electric starting option and could generate a maximum power of 35.7 kW at 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 52 Nm at 5500 rpm. It had a wet and multiplate clutch and a 5-speed transmission with claw shifting. The chain 5/8 x 1/4″ O-ring was used for the final drive. The motorcycle’s frame was designed with central chrome-moly-steel and the front suspension had 43mm WP upside-down forks, which provided a 270mm wheel travel. The rear suspension had a central shock absorber with PRO-LEVER linkage to rear-swingarm with needle bearing and it provided a 300 mm wheel travel. The front brake was a single 320 mm disc and the rear brake was a single 220 mm disc. The motorcycle’s steering head angle was 62.5o and the wheelbase was 1510 mm. It had a ground clearance of 335 mm, a seat height of 915 mm and a dry weight of 137 kg. The motorcycle could carry a GVWR of 350 kg and had a fuel capacity of 11 L, with a fuel reserve of 2.5 L.
