The KTM 640 LC4 Enduro motorcycle was produced between 2001-02 and features a four-stroke, single-cylinder engine with a capacity of 624.6cc. It has a liquid cooling system, a Mikuni BST 40 carburetor and a Kokusan contactless DC-CDI ignition with an advanced system. It has both electric and kick starting options. The engine produces a maximum power of 40.1 kW / 55 hp at 7000 rpm and a maximum torque of 55 Nm / 5.6 kgf-m / 40.6 lb-ft at 5500 rpm. The clutch is multi-disc in oil bath and it has a five-speed transmission with a chain, O-ring 5/8 x 1/4″ final drive. The bike has a central chrome-moly steel frame, White Power Up Side Down 4357 MXMA fork front suspension and a central shock absorber (WP BAVP3612) with PRO-LEVER linkage to the rear-swing arm with needle bearing rear suspension. Front brakes are single 300 mm disc with a 4-piston caliper and the rear brakes are a single 220 mm disc with a 1-piston caliper. The motorcycle has a wet weight of 158 kg / 348 lbs and a fuel capacity of 12 L / 3.2 US gal / 2.6 Imp gal. Its top speed is 168 km/h / 104 mph.
