Harley Davidson FLHR/I Road King (2001-02)

The Harley Davidson FLHR/I Road King motorcycle was produced from 2001-02 with a four-stroke, 45 degree V-Twin, Twin Cam 88 (R) engine that is vibration isolation-mounted. It has pushrod-operated overhead valves with a hydraulic self-adjusting lifter, and two valves per cylinder. The motorcycle has a capacity of 1449 cc/ 88.4 cu-in and a compression ratio of 8.9:1. Lubrication is done through a dry sump that is internally mounted, while the cooling system of the motorcycle is air cooled. The induction of the motorcycle can be done either through carburetion 40mm constant velocity with enrichener and accelerator pump ESPFI or 38mm throttle bore electronic sequential port fuel injection. The motorcycle has a single-fire, non-wasted, map-controlled spark ignition and electric starting system. The transmission is 5-speed, and the final drive is through a belt. The frame of the motorcycle is of mild steel, square-section backbone w/ twin downtubes, while the swing arm is of mild steel, rectangular tube sections, stamped junctions, MIG welded. The front suspension is telescopic forks, and the rear suspension is dual air adjustable shocks. It has two front brakes with 292mm discs 4 piston calipers and a single rear 292mm disc with 4 piston caliper. The front tyre is 130/90-16 and the rear tyre is 130/90-16.
