The Ducati 48 SL / Cacciatore was a motorcycle produced between 1964 and 1968. It had a two-stroke, single-cylinder engine with a piston port and a capacity of 47.6 cc. Its compression ratio was 9.5:1 and it was air-cooled. It had a wet, multiplate clutch and a three-speed transmission with a final chain drive. The frame was made of tubular steel with double down-tubes and had a telescopic fork front suspension and a swingarm with twin shocks for its rear suspension. The front and rear brakes were both drums measuring 118 mm. The fuel capacity was 11.6 L and it had a dry weight of either 58 kg or 63 kg depending on the model. It had a top speed of 40 km/h or 25 mph and was available in two different wheel sizes, depending on the model.
