The Bimota YB6 EXUP is a motorcycle built in 1989 with a production of only 114 units. It has a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder DOHC engine with a capacity of 1002cc and is liquid-cooled. It has a high power output of 145 hp at 10500 rpm and a max torque of 94.1 Nm at 9000 rpm. The bike has a chain-driven five-speed transmission and a 20-liter fuel capacity. The frame has two beams made of aluminum with an internal ribbing design. The front suspension has 42mm Marzocchi forks with an anti-dive system and a hydraulic brake, while the rear suspension has a Marzocchi shock that’s compression and rebound damping adjustable. The bike features powerful brakes with 2x 320mm discs with 4-piston calipers at the front and a single 230mm disc with a 2-piston caliper at the rear. It has a dry weight of 185 kg and a calculated top speed of 269.0 km/h (167.1 mph), but can reach 125.4 mph in standing 1/4 mile. The YB6 EXUP is essentially a special version of the YB8, distinguished only by its color. It is noteworthy that this model is the last bike designed and built by Ing. Martini, as he resigned a week after its presentation. The bike has been praised by several motorcycle magazines for its performance and overall design.
