Bimota YB4ie SP (1988)

The Bimota YB4 IE SP motorcycle was produced in a limited run of 15 units in 1988. It features a four stroke, transverse four cylinder engine with DOHC and 5 valves per cylinder. The bike has a capacity of 749 cc and a compression ratio of 11.2:1. It also has a Weber Marelli electronic fuel injection system and CDI ignition. The motorcycle has a maximum power output of 89 kW (121 hp) at 10500 rpm and a maximum torque of 88.3 Nm (65.1 ft-lbs) at 8500 rpm. The bike has a six-speed transmission and a chain final drive.

The frame of the YB4 IE SP is made of two diagonal beams in section bar made of aluminum with internal ribbing. It has a swing arm made of aluminum and the cylinders are supported by plates bolted to the beams. The front suspension features 42mm gas telescopic forks with external adjustment for anti-dive, while the rear suspension has a gas single shock with external adjustment. The front and rear brakes consist of two 320mm discs and a single 230mm disc, respectively. The front and rear tires are 3.50-17 and 5.50-17, respectively.
