The Aprilia RS 125 R motorcycle was produced from 2007 to 2008. It features a single cylinder, two stroke engine with a capacity of 124.8cc and reed valve induction. The engine has a compression ratio of 12.5:1 and is liquid cooled with separate mixing and a volumetric pump. The bike uses a Dell’Orto PHBH 28 carburetor and has CDI electronic ignition. The bike has a maximum power of 21 kW or 28 hp at 10,500 rpm, and maximum torque of 19 Nm or 14.1 lb-ft at 9,000 rpm. It has a six-speed transmission with a wet mult-disc clutch and chain final drive. The frame is made of cast aluminium and has a reinforced box section with a sloping twin-spar frame.
