The AC Schnitzer R 1200C Classic is a motorcycle with a four-stroke, two-cylinder horizontally opposed Boxer engine that has 4 valves per cylinder and a capacity of 1170 cc/71.4 cu in. It has a bore x stroke of 101 x 73 mm and a compression ratio of 10.0:1. The bike is cooled by an air/oil system and is started electronically. It has a maximum power output of 44.5 kW/61 hp at 5000 rpm (rear tyre 42.5 kW/57 hp at 5000 rpm) and max torque of 98 Nm/9.99 kgf-m/72.3 lb-ft at 3000 rpm. The bike is fitted with a six-speed transmission and a shaft final drive. Its front suspension is a telelever system with stanchion diameter of 35mm and a central strut, whilethe rear suspension is a die-cast aluminum single-sided swinging arm with Monolever system and WAD strut travel related damping. The spring preload can be adjusted to a continuously variable levels by means of a hydraulic handwheel. The bike has front brakes of two 305mm discs and four-piston calipers, and a rear brake of a single 285 mm disc and a two-piston caliper. The front and rear tires are, respectively, 120/70 R 17 and 190/60 R 17. The fuel capacity of the bike is 17.5 Litres/ 4.6 US gal.
