Yamaha_FJ1200 (1987-88)

The Yamaha FJ1200 was released in 1986 and went through several modifications before being discontinued in 1993. The 1987-88 models had a 1198cc, air and oil-cooled engine that produced 125 horsepower and 75 lb-ft of torque. The bike had an aerodynamic fairing, dual headlights, and a comfortable riding position thanks to the adjustable handlebars and seat. The suspension featured adjustable forks and shock absorbers for a smooth ride, and the brakes were dual-disc in the front and single-disc in the rear.

The FJ1200 was designed as a sport-touring motorcycle, capable of both quick acceleration and long-distance cruising. The engine provided plenty of power and torque for highway speeds, and the fairing provided good wind protection for the rider. The bike also had ample storage space, with lockable saddlebags and a trunk.

The FJ1200 was a popular model in its time and was well-regarded for its reliability and performance. Some common issues with the bike include a tendency for the ignition coils to fail and problems with the fuel pump. However, with proper maintenance and care, the FJ1200 can still be a dependable and enjoyable ride for many years.

Overall, the Yamaha FJ1200 was a versatile and capable motorcycle that offered a balance of performance and comfort. Its classic design and reputation for reliability have made it a sought-after model among collectors and enthusiasts.
