The Yamaha XJ 600N is a motorcycle model manufactured between 2001 and 2004. It has a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder, DOHC engine with a capacity of 599 cc (36.5 cu-in) and a compression ratio of 10:1. The engine is cooled by air and lubricated with a wet sump. The induction system includes four 28mm Mikuni BDS28 downdraft carburetors and the ignition is through a transistor. It can reach a top speed of 178.6 km/h and can complete a standing quarter-mile in 13.5 seconds at 149.2 km/h.
