The Yamaha V Star 650 Custom (2006-07) is a four-stroke, 70 degree V-twin cylinder motorcycle with a capacity of 649cc. It has a bore x stroke of 81 x 63mm and is air-cooled with a compression ratio of 9.0:1. The bike uses 2x 28mm Mikuni BDS28 CV carburetors for induction and features digital TCI ignition with electric starting. It can produce a maximum power of 40 hp at 6500 rpm and max torque of 50.9 Nm at 3000rpm. The clutch is wet and the transmission is 5-speed with a final drive shaft. It has front suspension of 41mm forks, an adjustable link Monocross rear suspension, and a single 298mm disc front brake with 200mm drum rear brakes. The front tire is 100/90-19 and the rear tire is 170/80-15. The bike is 2340mm in length, 880mm in width and 1075mm in height, with a 1610mm wheelbase and a seat height of 695mm. It weighs 214 kg dry and 233 kg wet with a fuel capacity of 16 liters.
