The Yamaha TZR125 Naked motorcycle was produced from 1990-91 and had a two-stroke, single-cylinder, reed-valve engine with a capacity of 124cc. It was liquid-cooled with a Mikuni VM26SS carburetor and had CDI ignition. It could generate a maximum power of 26hp at 10200 rpm and maximum torque of 1.8kgf-m at 10000 rpm with a compression ratio of 5.9:1. The clutch was wet plate and had a 6-speed transmission with chain final drive. The front suspension was a telescopic fork with 140mm wheel travel and the rear suspension was monocross with 100mm wheel travel. The front brake was a single disc and the rear brake was drum, with front and rear tires measuring 90/90-16 and 100/90-18 respectively. It had a dry weight of 104kg and wet weight of 122.7kg, with a fuel capacity of 12 liters and average fuel consumption of 21.5km/lit. Braking from 60-0/100-0 had a distance of 13.8m/39.6m and could reach a top speed of 154.7km/h with standing 1/4 mile time of 15.8 seconds at 130.6km/h.
