The Yamaha TX650 III motorcycle was produced between 1975-76 and had a four-stroke, parallel twin-cylinder engine with a capacity of 653cc. It featured a compression ratio of 8.4:1, air-cooled system, wet sump lubrication, and induction through two Mikuni carburetors. The ignition system consisted of a battery and induction coil, and the bike had both electric and kick start options. The maximum power output was 39.5 kW (53 hp) at 7200 rpm, with a peak torque of 54 Nm (39.8 lb-ft) at 6800 rpm. The bike had a five-speed transmission and a chain final drive. Suspension included telescopic forks on the front and dual shock absorbers at the back.
