Yamaha TX500 (1975-76)

The Yamaha TX 500 Sport motorcycle was produced from 1975-76 and featured an air-cooled, four-stroke parallel twin cylinder engine with a capacity of 498cc. It had a compression ratio of 9.8:1 and was equipped with a wet sump lubrication system along with 2x 38mm Mikuni carburetors and battery and coil ignition. The bike had a maximum power output of 48 hp at 8,500 rpm and maximum torque of 4.5 kgf-m at 6,500 rpm. The transmission was a 5-speed, and it had a final chain drive. The frame was a full cradle frame made of 100% circular steel pipes.
