The Yamaha SR 500T was a motorcycle produced from 1984-1987. It had a four-stroke, single cylinder, SOHC engine with a capacity of 499cc and a compression ratio of 9.0:1. The bike used a 34mm Mikuni VM34SS carburetor and a CDI ignition and had a kick start system. The maximum power output was 31.5 hp at 6500 rpm, and the maximum torque was 36.3 Nm at 5500 rpm. The transmission was a five-speed manual and the final drive was through a chain. The bike had a half-duplex cradle frame with a 35mm telescopic fork front suspension and a dual shock five-way adjustable spring preload rear suspension, with 150mm and 105mm of wheel travel respectively. The average fuel consumption was 63 mpg, and the top speed was 95 mph. The bike was capable of completing a standing 1/4 mile in 15.3 seconds.
