Yamaha RD250 (1975)

The Yamaha RD250 motorcycle was first introduced in 1975 and had a two-stroke engine with a parallel twin configuration and a capacity of 247cc. The engine was cooled by air and had a compression ratio of 6.7:1 with an autolube lubrication system. The bike had two Mikuni VM28 SC carburetors for induction and used battery and coil with breaker points for ignition. It had a maximum power of 30 horsepower at 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 21 lb-ft at 7000 rpm. The clutch was a wet multi-plate type and the bike had a six-speed transmission with a chain final drive. The gear ratios were 1st 19.67/2nd 13.6/3rd 10.08/4th 7.59/5th 6.79/6th 6.01.
