Vespa 200 Cosa (1988-92)

The Vespa 200 Cosa motorcycle was manufactured from 1988 to 1992 with a four-stroke, single-cylinder, horizontal cylinder engine and a capacity of 198 cc. The compression ratio was 8.8:1 and it was air-cooled with forced cooling. The fuel mixture was 1:50 and it had electronic ignition with a kick-start and a 6V battery. The clutch was wet and multi-plate, and the maximum power was 7.4 kW at 5000 rpm. The transmission had four speeds with a grip-shift and constant mesh, and the gear ratios were 13.42:1 in first, 9.13:1 in second, 6.32:1 in third, and 4.71:1 in fourth. The final drive was direct drive. The frame was pressed sheet steel with a streamlined monocoque structure. The front suspension had a coil spring with a hydraulic shock absorber, double effect, and the rear suspension had a coil spring with a hydraulic shock absorber, double effect. The front and rear brakes were drum, expanding type, and the wheels were interchangeable, split rim. The front and rear tires were 100/90/10. The dimensions of the motorcycle were 1800 mm in length, 836 mm in width, and 1210 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1270 mm and a ground clearance of 150 mm. The dry weight was 103 kg and the fuel capacity was 7.0 L with a consumption average of 3 L/100 km. The top speed was 95 km/h.
