Triumph Trophy 900 (1993-95)

The Triumph Trophy 900 was a four-stroke motorcycle produced from 1993 until 1995. It had a transverse three-cylinder DOHC engine with four valves per cylinder, a capacity of 885cc, and a compression ratio of 10.6:1. The motorcycle was liquid-cooled and had a wet sump lubrication system. It was equipped with 3 x 36mm Mikuni carburetors and TCI (Transistor Controlled Ignition) for ignition. The engine delivered a maximum power of 71.4 kW or 98 hp at 9000 rpm and a maximum torque of 83 Nm or 61.2 ft/lb at 6500 rpm. The transmission was a 6-speed manual with a chain for final drive. The frame was made of steel and had a trellis design. The front suspension had 43mm telescopic forks, while the rear had a tri-link rising rate with adjustable preload. The front brake had two 296mm floating discs and four-piston Nissin calipers, while the rear brake had a single 255mm disc and a two-piston Nissin caliper. The motorcycle had a Rake of 27o, a trail of 4.1 in, a wheelbase of 1490mm, and a seat height of 780mm. It weighed 217kg dry and 250kg wet, with a fuel capacity of 25 liters. The average fuel consumption was 6.8 L/100 km or 34.8 US mpg. The braking distance from 60 km/h was 14.5m and from 100 km/h was 41.4m. It could accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and complete a standing quarter-mile in 12.4 seconds at 176.0 km/h. The top speed was 212.5 km/h or 132 mph.
