The Suzuki SV 650N was produced between 1999-2000 and was equipped with a four-stroke, 90-degree V-twin engine with a capacity of 645cc. The engine had a compression ratio of 11.5:1 and produced a maximum power of 53 kW / 72 hp at 9000 rpm and a maximum torque of 64 Nm / 6.53 kg-m / 47.2 lb-ft at 7200 rpm. The motorcycle had a wet sump lubrication system and used synthetic, 10W40 engine oil. Induction was provided by two Mikuni BDSR39 carburetors and ignition was digital transistorized. It had a standing quarter-mile time of 12.1 seconds and a top speed of 205.9 km/h or 127.9 mph.
