MV Agusta F4 (2010-11)

The MV Agusta F4 motorcycle was produced in 2010-11 and features a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 998cc. The bike has a liquid-cooled cooling system and 13.1:1 compression ratio. Induction is provided by a Magneti Marelli IAW 7BM ignition and injection integrated system with Mikuni throttle body, induction discharge electronic ignition, sequential timed “multipoint” electronic injection, and variable height intake ducts with torque shift system (TSS). The bike is powered by a multipoint electronic injection, and the maximum power is 137 kW/186 hp at 12,900 rpm. The maximum power of the restricted version is 73 kW/100 hp at 9200 rpm. The clutch is a wet multi-disc one, and the transmission has six speeds. The final drive is a chain, and the bike has a frame consisting of CrMo steel tubular trellis TIG welded with an aluminum alloy. It comes with 50mm “upside-down” telescopic hydraulic fork front suspension and progressive single shock absorbers with rebound and compression damping and spring preload adjustment and an aluminum alloy swingarm as the rear suspension. The front and rear brakes are respectively 2x 320mm discs 4 piston calipers and a single 210mm disc 4 piston caliper. The front and rear tires are 120/70 ZR17 and 190/55 ZR17 respectively. The bike weighs 192 kg/42 lbs when dry, and its fuel capacity is 17 litres/4.4 US gal.
