The MV Agusta 850SS America is a four stroke, transverse four cylinder motorcycle with a capacity of 837 cc. It has a compression ratio of 10.3:1 and uses 4x 27mm Dell’Orto carbs for induction. The engine produces 61 kW / 81.8 hp at 9000 rpm and is started electrically. The multiple disc clutch is in an oil bath and the bike uses a 5 speed transmission with final drive via chain. The chassis is tubular steel, welded, double cradle with a front suspension using 38mm Forcelle Italia telescopic forks which are preload and rebound damping adjustable. The rear suspension features dual Koni shocks which are preload adjustable. The brakes consist of 2x 280mm discs at the front and a single 280mm disc at the rear. The tires are 110/80 -18 at the front and 150/70 -18 at the rear. The bike weighs 200 kg / 440 lbs and has a fuel capacity of 19 litres / 5.0 US gal. The model was produced in 1977 by MV Agusta.
