The Moto Guzzi V 1000G5 was a motorcycle produced from 1978-80. It boasted a four-stroke, V-twin engine with a capacity of 949cc, delivering a maximum power of 67hp at 6700rpm and max torque of 64.6Nm at 5750rpm. The bike was fitted with two Dell’Orto carburetors, lubricated by a pressure pump, and started with an electric motor. It had a 5-speed transmission and a shaft-based final drive. The frame was constructed from a duplex cradle, which could be disassembled, with telescopic fork front suspension and a swinging fork rear suspension. The bike had two 300mm front discs and a single 242mm rear disc, alongside 100/90 H18 front tires and a 110/90 H18 rear tire. The dry weight of the bike was approximately 220kg, and the fuel capacity of 24 liters meant it had a 6.3 US-gallon range. Despite being over 40 years old, the Moto Guzzi V 1000G5 has retained its charm and appeal among many motorcycle enthusiasts.
