Moto Guzzi Quota 1100ES (1997-99)

The Moto Guzzi Quota 1100ES is a four-stroke, 90-degree V twin, longitudinally mounted motorcycle with an OHV and 2 valves per cylinder. It can hold up to 1064 cc and has a bore x stroke of 92 x 80 mm. The bike is air-cooled with a compression ratio of 9.5:1 and a Weber-Marelli fuel-injection induction. It has a maximum power of 70hp and maximum torque of 85 Nm. The bike’s transmission is a 5-speed with a shaft final drive. The steel twin-beam with duplex cradle frame holds the 42mm Marzocchi fork, which provides the 200mm travel for the front wheel. The bike also has a Marzocchi monoshock with preload and rebound damping adjustment for the rear wheel, giving it the same travel. It has two front 296mm discs and a single 260mm disc in the rear with a two-piston caliper on each. It has a wheelbase of 1600mm and has a seat height of 820mm. The dry weight of the bike is 245kg, and it has a fuel capacity of 20 Litres. The standing 1/4 mile is 12.8 secs, and the top speed is 194.8 km/h. This motorcycle is the best roadgoing enduro from Moto Guzzi, that not only looks the part but also performs exceedingly well. The Quota 1100ES has improved handling compared to previous models, with a much lower seating position at 32.25 which makes it accessible to even the tallest riders.

The best roadgoing enduro from Moto Guzzi was the Quota 1100ES, a big hairy I not only looked the part, but also did the job. With the two-valve engine couplet gearbox, it produced just under 120mph top road speed with handling to match, improvement over the earlier Quota was the much lower seating position at 32.25 it accessible to very tall riders.:
