The Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans Mark I was produced in 1977 and had a four-stroke, V-twin engine that was longitudinally mounted with OHV pushrod and 2 valves per cylinder. The bike had a capacity of 844cc with a compression ratio of 10.2:1 and was air-cooled. It had a gear-driven oil pump with a replaceable full flow oil filter for lubrication, and an induction of 2x 36mm Dell’Orto carburetors. The ignition was battery-powered with double contact breakers and coils, and the bike had electric starting. With a maximum power of 80 hp at 7300 rpm and max torque of 79 Nm at 6000 rpm, the Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans Mark I had a top speed of 126 mph.
