Maico Blizzard (1955-62)

The Maico Blizzard was a motorcycle that was produced from 1955 to 1962. It featured a two-stroke, single cylinder engine with a capacity of either 177 cc, 247 cc or 277 cc, depending on the model. The engine was air-cooled and the fuel system featured a Bing 26mm carburetor. The motorcycle had an S.E.E.S. exhaust system and was started by kick. The maximum power was 11 kW or 15 hp. The clutch was wet and multiplate, and it had a four-speed transmission and a chain final drive. The frame was made from chrome molybdenum tube and the front suspension featured hydraulic shock absorbers while the rear suspension was a swing arm with springs.
