The Laverda Montjuic Mk I motorcycle was produced in 1979 and featured a four-stroke, air-cooled parallel twin engine with a capacity of 497cc. The engine had a compression ratio of 10.2:1 and was equipped with two 32mm Dell’Orto PHF carburetors and an electric CDI ignition system. The bike had a maximum power output of 58hp at 9500rpm and was capable of reaching a top speed of 113mph. The transmission was a 6-speed manual and the bike had a chain final drive. The front suspension consisted of Marzocchi forks with the rear suspension featuring Marzocchi shocks with 5-way spring preload adjustment.
