Laverda  125 LZ (1977-78)

The Laverda 125 LZ was a lightweight motorcycle produced in 1977 and 1978 by the Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Laverda. It was designed for commuting and city riding and had a top speed of around 70 mph.

The bike was powered by an air-cooled, single-cylinder, two-stroke engine that produced 14 horsepower. It had a five-speed manual transmission and hydraulic disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels.

The bike had telescopic forks and dual shock absorbers in the rear, providing a comfortable ride on bumpy roads. The fuel tank had a capacity of 9 liters, which was sufficient for the bike’s city-focused use.

The Laverda 125 LZ had a stylish design with a classic look, featuring a tank with a distinctive emblem and a dual seat for the rider and passenger. The bike was well-built and reliable, but production was halted after only two years due to the company’s financial difficulties.

Today, the Laverda 125 LZ is a sought-after collector’s item among motorcycle enthusiasts. Its lightweight, maneuverable design and classic styling have made it a timeless classic, and it remains a popular bike for city riding and commuting.
