The KTM 640 LC4 Adventure R motorcycle was produced in 2001-02 and had a four-stroke, single cylinder engine with a capacity of 624.6 cc. It had a compression ratio of 11.0:1 and was liquid cooled, with a Mikuni BST 40 induction system and a contactless DC-CDI ignition. The bike had a maximum power output of 35.7 kW/49 hp at 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 52 Nm/38.4 lb-ft at 5500 rpm.
