The Kawasaki ZX-R 250 Ninja was a sporty motorcycle produced between 1997-98. It had a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder, DOHC engine with a capacity of 249cc and a liquid cooling system, capable of producing a maximum power of 45hp at 15000rpm and a maximum torque of 2.6 kgf-m at 11500rpm. The bike had a wet, multi-disc, manual, cable-actuated clutch and a six-speed transmission with a final drive of a chain. The frame was made of perimeter, pressed aluminum and had a front suspension of telescopic forks and a rear suspension of Uni-track, swing arm.
