The Kawasaki ZX-R 250 Ninja was produced from 1991-92 and had a 249 cc four-stroke transverse four-cylinder engine with a DOHC and four valves per cylinder. It had a liquid cooling system and a 12.2:1 compression ratio with 4x Keihin CVK D30 carburetors. It had a maximum power of 45 hp at 15,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 24.5 Nm at 11,500 rpm. The clutch was a wet, multi-disc, manual, cable-actuated mechanism with a six-speed transmission and a chain final drive. The bike had a perimeter, pressed aluminium frame with telescopic forks and a uni-track swing arm. The front brakes had two discs and two-piston calipers while the rear brakes had a single-disc one-piston caliper. The front and rear wheels had 110/70-R17 54H and 140/60-R18 64H tyres, respectively. It had a 24-degree rake and an 85 mm/3.1 in trail with a wheelbase of 1360 mm/53.5 in. It was 2000 mm/78.7 in in length, 685 mm/27.0 in in width, and 1090 mm/42.9 in in height, with a seat height of 735 mm/28.9 in and ground clearance of 141 mm/5.1 in. It weighed 141 kg/311 lbs and had a 15-litre/3.4 US gallon fuel capacity.
