Kawasaki ZX (1998-99)

The Kawasaki ZX-7R Ninja, manufactured from 1998 to 1999, had a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 748 cc. It had four valves per cylinder, a liquid cooling system and a compression ratio of 11.5:1. Equipped with 4x 38mm Keihin CVKD carburetors, digital ignition and an electric starter, it could produce a maximum power of 111.9 hp at 11700 rpm and a maximum torque of 7.7 kgf-m at 9500 rpm. The six-speed transmission was accompanied by a sealed chain final drive. The aluminum twin-spar frame held a 43mm inverted cartridge fork front suspension and a piggy-back reservoir rear shock, both of which had adjustable compression and rebound damping, and the rear shock also had adjustable preload and ride height. The front and rear brakes were 2x 320mm discs with six-piston calipers and a single 230mm disc with two-piston caliper, respectively. It had a rake of 25.0 degrees, a trail of 99 mm and a seat height of 780 mm. The dry weight was 203.4 kg, while the wet weight was 227 kg, and the fuel tank capacity was 18 litres. The motorcycle had an average consumption of 16.2 km/lit and could come to a stop from 60-0 mph in 12.9 m and 100-0 mph in 37.8 m. The standing quarter-mile could be completed in 10.7 seconds at a speed of 207.4 km/h, and the top speed was 268.2 km/h.
