The Kawasaki Zephyr 750 (1998) is a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder motorcycle with a capacity of 738cc. The engine has a compression ratio of 9.5:1 and is air-cooled with a wet sump lubrication system. Induction is provided through four 32mm Keihin carburetors and ignition is via analog capacitive discharge. It has an electric starter and can produce a maximum power output of 71hp at 9500rpm, with a maximum torque of 56.8Nm at 7300rpm. The clutch is wet and multiple-disc, while the transmission is a five-speed gearbox with a final chain drive.
The bike has a front suspension with 41mm telescopic forks with no adjustment and a rear suspension with dual gas shocks that are adjustable for preload, rebound, and compression.
